THE FAMINE MEMORIAL CAPPAMORE, COUNTY LIMERICK.

The idea for the piece was generated whilst researching contemporaneous observations made in the West of Ireland at the time of the Famine. The bronze depicts a starving and homeless family resting on the roadside. The bronze sculpture measures 61 cm x 46 cm. It is mounted on a granite stone outside Saint Michael's Catholic Church in the village of Cappamore, Co. Limerick.
