MICHAEL KILLEN, SCULPTOR
Michael Killen is an established Irish sculptor with over thirty five years experience working in bronze, wood and stone. His work to date has been mainly figurative - as it is through the figure that he feels he can capture an exciting sense of life.
Allied to his sculptural work he has a great love of print-making and is now a member of the Graphic Studio. Dublin.
He has completed numerous commissions for public bodies, organizations and individuals. The commissions have been varied in nature, examples include a sculpture for a public hospital in Northern Ireland and commissioned works as part of the restoration of Swords Castle, County Dublin.
He is currently working on a public commission which commenced in the spring of 2017 for a school in North County Dublin. He exhibits in a number of galleries in Ireland and had the pleasure of presenting a solo exhibition at the Irish Embassy, Berlin in 2012.
